Private Fishing Lodge

All of our accommodations are located close to the Pez Vela Marina and offer safety, security and comfort. The new Fishing Lodge is only a short ten minute drive from the marina – so you will be among the first of the boats leaving the dock each morning. The lodge has a large, private pool with plenty of seating area – both for lounging with a cocktail or for taking snacks and dinner under the cabana.  There is a large grill where we can cook your catch to your liking – or if you prefer……. cook it yourself !

Guatemala Sailfishing Lodge

The Greatsailfishing Lodge is designed to offer you comfort and safety. We can accommodate groups up to fourteen anglers in eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms all fully air-conditioned. The staff are on hand 24/7 to help with any requests. Located close to the Pez Vela Marina, home of the Guatemala Sportfishing Fleet – it is a short drive each day to and from the charter boats.

The property manager is on hand each day at breakfast and on your return from fishing to ensure that all is going smoothly, answer any questions or requests you may have. we can also arrange day excursions for golf, Antigua shopping or further afield if you decide to take “Lay Days” from sailfishing.

Let us put your fishing package together

We have hosted groups as large as 70 and have access to the boats to accommodate . We manage all logistics - from arrival at La Aurora airport (GUA), transport to/from the lodge and each fishing day - we are with you the whole time to ensure that your trip goes smoothly.

The sailfishing packages are all-inclusive; no surprise bill at the end of your trip.

Breakfast is served each day at the lodge and then you are transported to the Marina Pez Vela to meet your crew and start the fishing day. The boat schedules to leave the dock by 7am and will usually return between 4 and 5pm depending on how far we have had to run in order to find a good bite.

You don't always have to go 20 miles plus offshore to get into the fishing action ! We offer half day trips for Rooster fish and king mackerel. Sometimes we can find sailfish only a couple of miles from shore - so it is possible to hook up to billfish even on a half day ! If you are looking for arm bending action - we can take you behind the shrimp boats that harvest inshore and you can pit yourself against huge jacks on either stand-up spinning gear or fly.
